What Does Human Research Show About Radiofrequency Skin Tightening?

Human clinical research supports the broader use of controlled radiofrequency energy for non-invasive facial skin tightening and contouring.

In a 2025 clinical case series published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, researchers evaluated 16 adults with mild-to-moderate facial skin laxity after a single non-invasive radiofrequency treatment.

Outcomes were evaluated 24 weeks later using three-dimensional imaging, independent clinical assessment and participant self-assessment.
